Policies

  • I’m new to Muse (and/or yoga and/or fitness), where do I start?

    • We offer a 30-day unlimited trial to all new clients! This is a great way to get to know our studio, instructors, community, and offerings. For only $89, you’ll have unlimited access to all yoga and fitness classes for 30 days. Click here to purchase.

    • If you’d rather start with more personalized services, we offer private yoga and personal training sessions. Clients often start here and then “graduate” to group classes when ready. Click here to learn more!

    Which class should I join first?

    • It’s completely up to you, but please be sure to read our class descriptions page before booking your first class so you know what to expect!

    • All of our classes are intended to be challenging yet accessible. We offer alternative options during yoga and fitness classes, so you can always modify or amplify your workout to suit your personal abilities and goals. Promise–there are no strength or flexibility prerequisites to join our yoga classes!

    • If you’ve never taken a hot yoga class before, consider starting with our SOUL (all-levels, non-heated vinyasa yoga) or HEART (community non-heated vinyasa yoga) classes.

    What should I do when I arrive? 

    • Please arrive early to allow extra time for parking, checking in, and getting settled.  We recommend that you let the instructor know you’re new to Muse (and explain any concerns, injuries, etc.), to ensure a smooth and rewarding experience.

  • What should I bring?

    • For personal training and group fitness, all exercise equipment is provided from our full-service fitness studio. You do not need to bring a mat. Most people wear sneakers, but you can work out in socks if that is your preference.

    • For yoga classes, we provide blocks and straps. We encourage students to bring a mat, but if needed, we offer yoga mats that can be rented for $2 per class. All studio blocks and rental mats are sanitized between uses. We also have equipment such as yoga mats, carrying straps, blocks, and straps available for purchase in our studio.

    • We highly recommend you bring a towel for all classes, especially hot yoga classes! We have mat-sized towels and hand towels available to rent for $2 per class.

    • Please bring a water bottle! We have a water bottle refill station in our studio, but if you ever forget, we also sell reusable water bottles as well as bottled water for $3.

    What shouldn’t I bring?

    • We ask that all shoes and cell phones be left outside our yoga studio space—but don’t worry, we have shoe cubbies and lockers for you to use (free of charge)! 

    How hot is hot yoga?

    • Our hot yoga studio is heated with infrared heaters, bringing the room temperature to 95+ degrees Fahrenheit. We offer non-heated classes if that’s your preference. Please pay attention to class descriptions so you know what you are signing up for!

  • What are your cancellation policies?

    • Group classes: All class reservations must be canceled at least 8 hours before class time. Otherwise, the class is forfeited (for single, package, or limited series purchases) or a $10 late cancel fee will be charged (for unlimited purchases). For community yoga classes, the late cancellation fee is $5.

    • Focused (1:1 or 2:1) services: All sessions must be canceled 24 hours in advance, or you will be charged a $25 late cancellation fee. Sessions canceled with less than a 12-hour notice will be charged in full.

    • While no guarantee is made, private sessions may occasionally be switched to virtual without penalty if ample notice is given.

    What if a class I want to join is full?

    • If a class is full, please feel free to join the waitlist. 

    • If spaces open in advance of class time, you will be notified via text and/or email if you’re moved from the waitlist into the class. You will not be notified if you did not opt-in to text or email notifications when you created your account. However, you can see if you’ve been added to the class by logging in on the Mindbody app or our website and checking your schedule. 

    • If spaces do not open in advance of class time, reserved spots will start to be given to waitlisted clients approximately 5 minutes before class is scheduled to begin. 

    • Important Note: By signing up for the waitlist, you are signing up for the class and will be treated as a no-show if you are added to the roster and do not attend. If you remove yourself from the waitlist prior to being added to the roster, you will not trigger the late cancellation policy. 

  • When should I arrive for class?

    • Class participants are highly encouraged to arrive early or on time, allowing extra time for parking, checking in, and getting settled. For full classes, reserved spaces will start to be released to waitlisted clients approximately 5 minutes before class time. 

    What if I’m running late for class?

    • Studio doors are locked during class time for safety reasons. While no guarantee is made, if practicable, the front desk team will allow late entry up to 5 minutes past the scheduled start time. No clients will be admitted to any class more than 5 minutes past the scheduled start time.

    What if I’m running late for a 1:1 session?

    • Sessions will start and end at the scheduled time. Any late arrivals will cause the session time to be shortened accordingly.

  • What are your membership suspension and termination policies?

    • Members can pause autopay memberships for up to 30 days once every twelve months.

    • Memberships auto-renew each month and can be canceled with written notice via the form below at least 30 days prior to the next scheduled payment. 

    • To process a suspension or termination, or to change your current membership, please fill out this form.

    How can I bring a friend?

    • All of our memberships include 12 complimentary guest passes per year! To redeem a guest pass, please fill out this form.

    • If you’re not a member, but would like to bring a friend, they can register themselves on our class schedule page or on the Mindbody app.  If you’d like to register your guest on their behalf, please make sure you have their personal information (name, phone number, and email) and call the studio at 215.830.0089.

    What happens if my auto-payment fails?

    • Mindbody will automatically attempt the payment again after 24 hours (and again after 48 hours, if needed). During this time, the client is encouraged to login to their profile and update their payment information on file or contact the studio for help doing so over the phone or in-person. If an automatic payment fails after 3 attempts, the client will be charged a declined payment fee of ($3.50) that will be added to their account balance.

  • Do you offer any discounts?

    • Discounts are available for senior citizens and current full-time students. Please email proof of ID to be eligible.

    What if cost is a barrier for me?

    What is your vaccine policy?

    • We do not require proof of COVID-19 vaccination to enter.

    What if I’m pregnant?

    • We welcome all students at Muse but encourage you to check with your care provider before taking any classes to ensure you’re accommodating any specific risk factors for your pregnancy. Please communicate with your instructor before class so they can provide additional options if necessary. 

    • The medical and fitness communities typically agree that a pregnant person can continue activities they were engaged in pre-pregnancy (e.g., hot yoga) but should be wary of beginning any new regimens during pregnancy. We encourage you to listen to your body and trust your judgment.

    • For yoga, we have props in the studio to support a prenatal practice (i.e., bolsters and blankets) and instructors with prenatal certifications on staff.

  • What do class packages and memberships include?

    • Packages & memberships are interchangeable between yoga & fitness and can be used for all Muse classes.

    Can I share a class package or membership?

    • Yes, you can share a class package or limited series membership with someone else— just call or email us to have your account updated in Mindbody! We do not allow the sharing of unlimited memberships. 

    When do purchases expire?

    • Group classes: Drop-in classes expire 30 days from purchase date and 10-class packages expire 12 months from purchase date.

    • Private services: Single-session purchases expire 30 days from purchase date, 5-session packages expire 3 months from purchase date, and 10-session packages expire 6 months from purchase date.

    Do you provide refunds?

    • All sales are final. 

    Are your prices guaranteed?

    • Prices are subject to change.

    What are your terms & conditions?
